La Robótica es una ciencia que está aplicándose en el mundo real y que busca modificar la proyección de las industrias en el país a través de la automatización de sus procesos. En Trujillo, programas como Ingeniería Mecatrónica viene apoyando esa tendencia en la formación de los estudiantes, informó Gustavo Kato, vicerrector académico de la Universidad Privada del Norte (UPN).
En La Libertad ya existen empresas especializadas en agroindustria, automatización, y seguridad que demandan este perfil de profesionales. Asimismo, en el mundo se venden al año un promedio de 121 mil robots de servicio y más de 517 mil robots industriales, de acuerdo a cifras del International Federation of Robotics 2022.
Para el vicerrector de UPN, esta tendencia está en aumento en Perú, donde las empresas ya están empezando a invertir en equipos y sistemas inteligentes para acelerar sus procesos. “En UPN tenemos una mirada muy cercana hacia la tecnología. Por ejemplo, a nivel académico estamos analizando que la inteligencia artificial nos ayude a mejorar los contenidos de los cursos, para definir qué temas son trascendentes a nivel mundial. Nosotros en Trujillo ofrecemos desde este año la carrera de Ingeniería Mecatrónica para responder a esta demanda laboral en crecimiento”, informó.
Gustavo Kato estuvo presente en el Colegio de Ingenieros de La Libertad, con la finalidad de compartir con los agremiados y la sociedad, los más recientes alcances de la ingeniería robótica e inteligencia artificial, en el marco de las actividades realizadas por el Día del Ingeniero Peruano.
